Information Provided by Visitors
Search entries
A name, place, or other term entered into a search tool is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages
If a visitor sends an email or another contact message, we retain the information needed to respond. We do not share that message outside our organization unless a legal obligation requires disclosure.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most websites, the site and its service providers may receive routine data when a page loads. This can include information used for operation, security, and audience measurement.
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on pages
- Referring site, when available
- Access dates and timestamps
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools help measure how visitors use the site and remember limited preferences. A browser can block or delete cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to operate and improve the site, deliver a search request to the appropriate partner, understand which resources are useful, investigate technical problems, and support advertising that may be based on interests.
Links and Advertising Partners
Pages may link to official sheriff, jail, court, corrections, and public-record resources, as well as third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, that destination’s privacy practices control. We do not control its availability, content, or data handling.
Advertising partners may collect information across websites for interest-based advertising on their own systems. Their practices are governed by their own notices and choices.
Who May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by the following parties when needed for the stated purposes:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics providers that help measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads
- Law-enforcement agencies or government bodies responding to a valid legal order
Security Measures
We use reasonable administrative and technical practices intended to protect information. No internet-connected service can promise complete security, so we cannot guarantee that a transmission or stored item will never be accessed, altered, or lost.
Visitors Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted personal information, a parent or guardian may contact us to request its removal.
Your Information Choices
Subject to applicable law, a visitor may ask for a copy of personal information we hold, request correction of inaccurate information, ask that it be erased, or opt out of certain processing. Contact us with enough detail to identify the request.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice as practices or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
